This includes an annual exam, up to date vaccines, a history of heartworm prevention purchased, and overall satisfactory compliance with current veterinary recommendations. The majority of our dogs are indoor or indoor/outdoor family members. We do not adopt to individuals who wish to chain or pen their pets. Thank you. Update: Now that we have had the opportunity to get to know Gracie better in foster care, we can tell you she is a fun, outgoing girl, who loves to be near her people. She does very well with the other dogs and is very well rounded. She is happy to snuggle up and rest when it's movie time and equally happy to go for a romp. She does seem to have some herding background in her. She does fine with the older kids she is around, but with tiny toddlers she has the tendency to chase and bark as they run around her. She repeatedly tried to snag a little one by the diper as he ran in circles around her... and although she was NOT being aggressive, we think a less stimulating household would be a better choice so no tiny tots please :) Gracie came into a local shelter badly wounded from an animal attack. When no one came to claim her, the shelter workers took this sweetie to the vet for care. She is new into her foster home and we are still getting to know her.
